10 Questions To Ask Yourself If You’re Considering A Career Change

First blog of the year. So many topics to choose from.

Resolutions

Goal setting

Career moves

Updating your LinkedIn profile

Changes & Choices

And so on and so on…….

So, what did I chose to write about? The most important thing that each of those topics have in common: You!

If you are reading this, you are interested in either changing your career, moving your career forward or wanting to start a new one. Since people reach out to me for advice, questions, and answers regarding all things career related, I’m going to help guide you through deciding whether a career change is right for you this year.

Regardless of where you are at in your career, ask yourself these 10 questions:

  • Am I happy with what I am doing right now?

  • Should I be in the role that I am right now?

  • What do I have to offer a new company?

  • Is remote work for me?

  • Should I be doing more to advance my career?

  • Am I in the career I want to be in?

  • Am I valued in my role?

  • Do people know who I am at work?

  • Am I the best I can be, or do I have more to offer?

  • Am I in the right field doing the right job with the right company?

Regardless of your answers, I want you to be really honest with yourself. If you answered more then one “NO” and/or you don’t know the answers to the other questions, it is time to find them.

You can find answers about yourself by knowing who you are and what you want. If you are lost, let me help you find you. Even though it sounds hard, it really isn’t. I still ask myself these hard-hitting questions and if I come to dead-end, I know I need to find the answers. I may need to ask different questions to lead me down the right path first.

Getting to know yourself before presenting yourself to others, a new company, or searching for a new career is a must. If you don’t know what you can offer a new company than you have no business offering yourself to them.

Let me help you find the real you. Let me ask you the hard questions so we can find the real answers before making a potentially life-changing decision.

Let me help you find your strengths, values, offerings and mostly, your confidence. Once you have answers and confidence about yourself, interviewing and accepting a career role will be the easiest part. Saying yes to the role is the hard part.

I will make it fun, exhausting, playful and real. But in the end, you get the best result of all: the real you😊
