If You Want Top Talent, Value Them First
Step Up! You want to know why people are leaving? They are tired of working with bullies and managers who don’t know how to manage and leaders who don’t lead. As the owner of the company, you, Owners & CEOs are supposed to have your hand, mind and body involved in your company 100% of the time. Why you don’t is shocking me more and more every day.
I have clients, people leaving companies all the time because they are tired of not being valued, listened to, and being bullied by people who do not belong in their company.
Hand holding is a thing. Sometimes you really need to hold some hands in your company, or you are going to be searching, interviewing, and not hiring for a long time.
People quit for a lot of reasons; this we have known for a long time. We have all sorts of new terms and reasons in today’s world on why people are leaving their current roles. Some are careers and some are jobs, none the less, they are leaving.
Why? You know why. It starts from the top. Nothing else.
Owners, CEO’s, you want better employees, than treat them better. Respect, conversations, thank you ’s and appreciation go a very long way. You miss these steps, that is on you.
