My Favorite Six Letter Word

Who taught you to be you?

Who showed you how to be a good person?

What did you learn as a kid that you still practice today?

What did you want to do growing up and what are you doing now?

One word fits all: CHANGE. A six-letter word that leans toward the positive. How do you accept change? How do you embrace the change? How do you not fight it and move towards it? A lot to consider and take in.

But the moment you accept it, is the moment you can move on.

Now, consider how you want to change your career. Do you know how? Do you want to? Do you have to?

Or do you just have to change your mindset for a better fit in what you are doing now? One small tweak in your mind can really change your attitude about most anything. Some of you are trying to re-invent the wheel with your career when all you really have to do is change your mind or attitude.

Sometimes changing your career is not the answer to your problems. Sometimes the answer is a simple change of attitude. Sometimes it is your mind that is playing tricks on you and, you are doing just fine.

Ask yourself a few questions:

  • Do I like my company

  • Do I like what I represent

  • Am I treated well

  • Am I respected

  • Am I safe

  • Can I continue to learn about myself

  • Am I heard

  • Is this for me

  • Do I really want more

  • Do I want less

  • Can I make this work

  • Do I want to make this work

  • Is it me or is it my company

Now, what is it that you want to do? Change your career or change your mind? Let me know! I’d love to help you figure it out if you’re stuck. I’ve been helping people get clear on their career for over 20 years and I’d love to help you too. Reach out for a free consultation here.
