Is The U.S. Ready For Photos On Resumes?

In the last several months I have seen resumes with pictures on them. Now, I have written about this before, but I think it should be written about once again. Are we ready for pictures on a resume? Are we capable of hiring an individual who has a picture of themselves and not judge them? I really want to say yes, I really do. But are we?

With so much education going on, thankfully, about what is right, what we can say, what we should not say and how to say it, I feel we have the right to put our picture on our resume.

He comes the BUT… Are we capable of not judging?

This question all stems from me receiving resumes daily and about 45% of them have their pictures on their resume. Now, in most other countries you are supposed to have your picture on your resume, along with other information about yourself, that we are NOT ready for.

But I like the pictures. I like them because as I mature, (and stop laughing at me) it helps me remember people. Names, so many names that I work with, but once I see their faces, hence their picture, I remember. (at least for now!)

So, I ask you all: Is the US ready to ask people to put their picture on their resume, (and not get judged)?
