Remember The Golden Rule

When I hear about the “Great Resignation” and people are saying they are looking for respect, to be valued and more, I must think to myself, “didn’t they always want to feel this way?” I know when I was an employee, I got lucky most of the time. My managers, peers and owners respected me, gave me choices, and allowed me to learn in the way I learn best, not by how they expected me to learn.

So why the change now? Why should this matter now? It should always matter!!

Don’t fool yourself employers: You also want to feel respected, valued and more, yes? So please make sure your employees, all of them, feel the same way you want to feel. Remember the Golden Rule, “Treat others as you’d treat yourself.”

And by the way, there are about 83 more Golden Rules if you must know. Want to read them all, click here and you’ll see that you can keep at least 10 of these in your mind, always.

So, the take-away here, don’t use this new term, “The Great Resignation” as an excuse to finally treat others as they should be treated, just do it because it is the right thing to do.
